Nintendo Switch Parental Controls — Plus the Piece Nintendo Left Out
Nintendo's Parental Controls phone app is the best in the console business for what it does: play-time limits with a bedtime alarm, age restrictions, and a report of what got played. Use it.
What it doesn't do is filter the internet. The Switch has no general browser, but it does have a captive-portal browser that can be coaxed open, social features with links, and — more importantly — it shares your Wi-Fi with every other screen in the house. If you're doing this for one device, do it for all of them at once.
Set filtering DNS on the Switch
System Settings → Internet → Internet Settings → select your network → Change Settings → DNS Settings → Manual. Primary: 185.236.104.104, Secondary: 185.236.105.105 (with VeeShield). Save and reconnect.
